Statue of Buddha

This wooden image was found after when it was washed off to the eastern shore during the tsunami event in 2004. TheRighthand of the image depicts the abhaya mudracould nor be and rest of the image including the upper part, right hand and the lower part are badly damaged. The style of the statue could not be identified due to this reason. However the arrangement of the Pleats of the robe of the image suggests that it could be a production of Indonesia or Myanmar. The date of the image is uncertain.
